AskJolene Friends is an adult community. It's a safe place to share your interests with the world and to meet and communicate with like-minded people. With AskJolene friends you can create a personal profile. Think of it as your own homepage on AskJolene. You use it to access your bookmarks, your stories, your favourite blogs and to talk to your friends.

Getting started: get an account

To go to your personal profile, click the "Myself" tab in the navigation bar. You will be prompted to sign in.

If you already have a bookmarks account, you can use this. Otherwise you first have to create an account.

There are two levels of accounts: anonymous and registered. Anonymous accounts can only be used to access your bookmarks. For other features (like submitting stories, publishing a blog and making friends), you will need to register using an e-mail address. We will send a verification mail to this address, so make sure you can access it.

Profile settings

Once you are logged in, you can fill in your profile by going to the "My settings" tab, and choosing "Profile settings" in the menu on the left hand side.

There are a number of sections:

• Profile
  Here you can fill in some personal data. Name, date of birth, etc. All perfectly optional of course.
• Change password
  This box allows you to change your password. For security reasons you will also need to enter your current password.
• Avatar
  Upload an picture that will be used as an avatar throughout AskJolene.
• Description
  Tell the world what you want it to know about you. Fill in some tags: tags are keywords or small descriptive phrases that other users can use to find your profile. The tags will end up in the "tag cloud" on the Friends homepage.
• Pictures
  The Pictures section will let you upload a maximum of ten pictures that will be shown on your profile.

Privacy settings

Indicate your preferences for your profile. Do you want other users to be able to see your profile? Which parts of it do you want them to see? And would you like to receive e-mail notifications for new messages on your profile or story message board ?

Note: AskJolene will not remove your account upon request. You can close your account, so it is no longer available for other visitors, by setting the public setting to "My profile is private". When you remove all your bookmarks, close your profile and no longer login, we will automatically remove your account after a fixed time.

Blog settings

If you want to publish your bookmarks, create a blog. Detailed instructions for creating a blog can be found in the blog help.
